"Hi my name is Sara Sara, yes my first and last name are same. Graduating this year (2024) from the University of Salford with a degree in BA Fine Arts, I've had the privilege of being deeply involved in various societies and initiatives throughout my three years here. My involvement ranged from actively participating in societies to hosting collaborations focused on crucial issues like mental health, charity work, combating hate crimes, and addressing Islamophobia. Additionally, I used my artwork to celebrate and represent my cultural heritage.
Through attending and contributing to numerous events, not only with fellow students but also alongside EDI, Report and Support, and the Students’ Union staff, I gained valuable insights into the needs, responsibilities, and challenges faced by both students and staff members. This experience has honed my understanding of the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
One thing I would love students to know about me is I love drawing for myself, for others, and teach others how to express themselves through art.
As an artist, I’ve learned the importance of self-expression, which has made me both sensitive and resilient. These qualities, combined with my experiences, have inspired me to run for the role of Student Officer for the Arts and Media School. In this role, I aim to act as a bridge between students and staff, promoting diversity, equity in representation, educational initiatives, and empowering minorities. My goal is to foster a community that prioritizes mental health and positivity, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and valued".
