To hold any event other than their regular block bookings, groups must fill out the events form below. This form also includes the questions we need answering to put your event up on our ticketing platform native, if your event is ticketed and the questions, we need answering if your event includes an external speaker.

The room booking form below allows you to book spaces within University House, as well as make inquiries about booking other rooms in the University which the team will look at getting booked for you.

Risk Assessments

 

Risk assessments must be completed for any event outside of regular weekly activities, both to keep members safe but also to assure the event runs smoothly. We’ve included our template and guidance document below, if you have any questions please contact either su-societies@salford.ac.uk or su-sport@salford.ac.uk

 

Student Spaces

 

There are 6 main bookable spaces in University House; That End, The Pillars, Lewis Latimer, Small Meeting Rooms, Rosa Parks & Rafiki, and The Common Room.

  • That End is a larger all around space, with a projector and speakers. Great for everything from award ceremonies to quiz nights, to movie nights. Capacity 30 cabaret, 60 theatre, has a projector with speakers.
  • The Pillars is a medium sized space with lots of tables good for meetings and activities like game nights and crafternoons. Also includes a large TV which can be connected to for any number of uses. Capacity 48 cabaret, 30 theatre.
  • Lewis Latimer is a medium sized room connected to The Pillars, includes a screen and space for medium to smaller scale group activities. Capacity 30 cabaret, 40 theatre, 24 boardroom, has a screen and speakers.
  • Small Meeting Rooms are two small meeting rooms, good for planning activities or drop-in wellbeing sessions. Capacity 6 each room, no projector, screen or speakers.
  • Rosa Parks is a versatile space with a screen as well as plenty of chairs and tables available. Capacity 30 cabaret & theatre has a projector with speakers.
  • The Common Room is a more relaxed lounge space, good for meetings or smaller events like games nights. Capacity 20, no projector, screen or speakers.
