We are a student-led society at the University of Salford, open to students of all disciplines and especially keen to involve undergraduates. Working closely with the University’s Sustainability Division, we’re dedicated to building a cleaner, greener, and safer Salford.
Through community gardening, litter picks, webinars, and seminars, we create hands-on opportunities for students to make a difference while learning practical skills in areas like conservation and environmental management. We also take part in events such as Go Green Salford, and connect with other universities through hackathons, conferences, and sustainability programs.
Our aims are simple but impactful: Helping students live more sustainable lives. Offering practical skills and experiences. Raising awareness of climate change and global sustainability issues. Promoting accessible and inclusive sustainable practices. Creating a hub for students to connect, support each other, and share ideas around the climate emergency.
Membership is just £5. Our society is very flexible — we don’t meet very regularly, but whenever there’s a meeting or event, we’ll keep you updated through email and our team channel. Once you become a member, we’ll add you to the channel so you’re always in the loop. Please drop us an email to join, and follow us on Instagram to stay connected!
Together, let’s bring positive change to Salford and beyond 🌱
