We're looking for Salford Students who would like to work for Salford SU as a Sports Admin Assistant (Student Staff)!
- £13.45 per hour
- Minimum commitment of 4 hours per week during term-time
- Full training provided
- We schedule your shifts around your study and other commitments
Students applying must be currently enrolled on a course at the University of Salford for the full September 2026 - May 2027 academic year. This is a paid role with a minimum commitment of 4 hours per week during term-time.
What will you be doing?

- Support the expansion of our campus league sporting offer from just 6-a-side football to incorporate other sports
- Encourage more non-sport societies to engage in these Campus Leagues by entering teams.
- Organise trial leagues, competitions and/or festivals in different sports.
- Organise the running of a longer league to run alongside the 6-a-side league for the next academic year (27-28).
- Work alongside the Sports Development Lead to refine the sports pathway, to ensure there are clear progression paths for students, and to monitor the pilot year of the revamped Free Sports offer.
- Work with groups delivering free sport sessions each semester to solidify their pathway, to encourage attendees to become sports club members.
- Check in with involved sports clubs to monitor progress during this Pilot year, and track data accordingly.
- Understand what barriers students may face when it comes to buying a membership, and determine ways we can reduce these barriers.
- Encourage sports clubs to have more participation/casual sports offers within their clubs and work with them to achieve this.

- Are current University of Salford Students (Undergraduate or Postgraduate) in the academic year September 2026 to May 2027
- Have good communication and listening skills
- Have great organisation and time management skills
- Comfortable talking to students and difficult topics and concerns
- Can read and understand new information quickly
- Are interested in the role and want to learn
