Liberation Lunch and Pledge Wall

We’ll have loads of freebies, and you can even win some goodies to take home! This event is open to everyone and is a safe space to ask questions, get more information, and explore the world of sex and sexuality in a supportive, judgement-free zone.

Plus, the chance to meet with our Reading Between the Spine Society!

We’ll have a fantastic selection of books, both new and old, generously provided by your SU. That’s right, we’re giving them to you for free, no strings attached! Whether you’re into romance or adventure, we’ve got you covered.

There’s just one twist: the books will be wrapped up, so you’ll have to choose based on the genre and a snippet of the blurb. It’s a fun way to discover your next great read!

Combat Archery

This is not just Archery… this is Combat archery!

Our Archery club play this for fun during training – in these sessions, you’ll be given some quick training to help with health and safety and expand on your experience. Then it’s time to put on protective gear, grab a couple of foam arrows and try and eliminate the opposite team… come give it a crack!

International Food Festival

Join your Students' Union at the Welcome International Food Festival! Located on the pitch at the rear of University House, we've secured some amazing street food vendors showcasing delicious cuisines from around the world.

This is a free event, and we have 1,000 free food tokens to give away, each worth up to £6! Simply grab a free ticket via the link provided (the link will go live closer to the event). Show us your ticket on the day, and we'll convert it into a food token that you can use at any of the vendors.

Paralympic Q&A with James Ball

Every wondered what Olympic or Paralympic athletes go through to represent GB at major competitions? Or even wondered how they got there or the team they work with?

Well, now is your chance!

We have a Paralympic medalist from 2020, and a current 2024 Paris Paralympian coming to Salford to answer questions and give you some details on how they got to this level and what it takes to be an Olympian.

P.S. They may even bring their medals for photos!

Games Con
