Salford Students’ Union is affiliated with a number of national organisations that support us to provide the best possible representation, services and opportunities for our students.
Affiliations allow us to access specialist advice, training, resources and sector expertise, as well as connect and collaborate with other students’ unions and organisations across the UK. They help us strengthen the work we do, keep up to date with developments affecting students and ensure our services continue to meet appropriate professional standards.
Our current affiliations are:
- NUS UK – supporting our work to represent students and contribute to the national student movement.
- NUS Charity – providing support, guidance and development for students’ unions as charities and membership organisations.
- AdviceUK – supporting the development and quality of our independent student advice services.
- BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) – enabling our students and sports clubs to participate in university sport and competition across the UK.
- ACEVO (Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations) – providing leadership, governance and organisational development support within the charity and voluntary sector.
We regularly review our affiliations to make sure they continue to provide value to our members and support the Students’ Union in achieving its charitable objectives.
