Namaste and welcome to the University of Salford Nepalese Society! We are a vibrant and inclusive community dedicated to celebrating the rich culture, heritage, and traditions of Nepal. Our society serves as a "home away from home" for Nepalese students, offering a familiar space to connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. But we are more than that. Guided by our motto, "Connecting Cultures, Celebrating Nepal, Building Community," we are passionate about sharing the beauty of our culture with the entire university. We believe in the power of cultural exchange and welcome students from all backgrounds to join us, learn something new, and be part of our family. What We Do: Cultural Events: We host celebrations for major Nepalese festivals like Dashain, Tihar, and Nepali New Year. Social Gatherings: From casual meet-and-greets and "momo nights" to movie screenings and sports events, we create fun opportunities to socialise. Community Support: We provide a support network for new and current students, helping them navigate university life in Salford. Cultural Showcases: We collaborate with the university and other societies to showcase Nepalese music, dance, art, and cuisine.
