The Women in Banking Society at the University of Salford is dedicated to empowering female students who aspire to build successful careers in banking, investment banking, and the wider financial services industry. Our mission is to equip women with the skills, confidence, and industry understanding needed to excel in a traditionally male-dominated sector. We provide a professional yet supportive environment where members can gain real career advantages while becoming part of a strong, like-minded community. The society offers members a combination of career support, industry insight, and professional development. We provide tailored workshops on applications, CVs, interviews, and technical skills, host guest speakers and company visits, and organise networking opportunities both within the University and across the finance sector. Alongside career-focused initiatives, we build a strong community through social events, including coffee mornings and brunches.
