Wanting to know what it's like to move from rural countryside to the big city? Have a read of this article to learn about the exprience of moving to manchester and exploring a city and new opportunities!
From the quiet Yorkshire moors to the buzzy streets of Manchester. It definitely took some time to adjust to city life. I love where i’m from and the cosiness of a small village, however moving to Manchester not only gave me opportunities for my future but also opportunities to try new things.
LIKE WAGAMAMAS!!!
Since moving to the city i've had my first Nandos, Wagamamas, Wingstop and so much more!! The day I discovered what Deliveroo and Uber eats were, was a bad day for my bank account. Still waiting to try a Maccies breakfast tho.

Terrific Transport
But it wasn't just food that amazed me. The fact that I didn't have to wait for a bus that would come every two hours just to get somewhere was the icing on the cake! I couldn't believe how many buses there were and how often they are, makes getting around so much easier. Not only by bus, but also by train with so many forms of public transport it makes going for a day of exploring so much easier be it in Manchester or somewhere else.
Social Queen!
Being from a small countryside town it's hard to expand your social circle, in a city it’s part of everyday life. I feel like almost every day I'm meeting someone new and becoming a social queen! I've met some of my best friends here and learning about all new ways of life and cultures has been such a fun experience. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there! It may take time but you will find your group of people.

Embracing Opportunities
If you were to ask me two years ago, living in a city would be my worst nightmare. But now I’m finding ways that I can stay after I graduate! I don't want to leave the life I've built here and I want to keep taking advantage of the opportunities that a city life can give to me.

My biggest piece of advice would be to take advantage of all the opportunities Manchester has to offer. Being on an acting and film production course, I've definitely taken advantage of all the amazing show tours coming to Manchester, which not only are beneficial to my course but are also a nice evening outing for a nice break from the stresses of uni.

(That's not even all of the shows i've seen)
I think it's safe to say that I might have been converted from a country girl to a city girl!
