What did you study at uni?
"I’m a Postgraduate Researcher in the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology. I’m in my 3rd year, exploring how social media fuels digital activism, gender advocacy, and collective action. Basically—if there’s a hashtag campaign shaking things up online, I’m probably studying it!"
What are you excited for during your time as an officer?
"As your SU Officer for SAMCT, I’m passionate about amplifying student voices and successes. This year, I’m excited to leverage digital platforms to showcase what our students are doing—whether that’s film, fashion, research, music, or media. One or two projects I’m especially keen to explore is setting up a “Student Spotlight Series”—think live-streamed interviews, podcasts, or digital features that celebrate creative projects, milestones, and innovations from our SAMCT community and Digital Creatives Hub – online space(s) for students to share projects, find collaborators, and network with industry contacts."
Do you have any hobbies that you enjoy?
"When I’m not writing my thesis or checking out the latest social media trends, you’ll find me enjoying live performances, catching a film, or treating myself to a well-earned shopping break after a writing milestone."
What's your fave place to hang out?
"Luckily, MediaCity has it all—cinemas, shops, the waterfront—and it’s one of my favourite places to unwind."
